Taking the first step…

It can be difficult to  look deeply into your heart and soul and address your traumas. It is so much easier with a kind and seasoned guide. I offer that place in my heart and soul and leave the decision to you, to meet me there or not.

My education was in Transpersonal Psychology, a holistic school of psychotherapy taking into account such things as spirituality, body, mind, and emotion. This informs how I sit with a client. I am attuned to how you are sitting, breathing, and making eye contact. This school also embraces many things in addition to the talk therapy most people are familiar with. For example, I was trained in the Enneagram and Sand Play.

What does a session with me look like? We meet in person and my Humanistic approach requires me to be fully present with you–no note taking during a session! You are a client, not a patient, and you call me Alice because we are two humans connecting. I have done my own therapy with a licensed therapist, so I have first-hand knowledge of what it feels like to be vulnerable in this way and to embark on making changes in my own life.

Ultimately I take the lead from you–What are your goals? What are we working towards? By working together we can help relieve your anxiety, depression, and overwhelm, and bring more serenity into your life. We will build your sense of self worth using the Fight Your Bully techniques I have developed through years of clinical practice. We will also improve your communication to be kind, direct, and honest with yourself and others.

Inner Child Work

This is where we really focus on healing your childhood traumas. It involves face to face sessions which can include guided meditations and visualizations, art therapy, journaling, reading, and dancing.

Individual Counseling

This involves meeting, discussing goals, and developing a plan of action for your health and healing!

Guided Meditation

This is a wonderful tool for relaxation which is sometimes part of my regular clinical sessions.
